Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, 5, who joined the show last season as Lily, the adopted daughter of Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, plays a smaller role and is not likely to receive a big raise.

I'd also say that he's the only one who's gotten more interesting. Manny's quirks have become crutches and Cam's nuances have been obliterated by the cliche's character traits, for example, but Luke went from kind of basic dumb little brother to a much more interesting place.

Alfred Hitchcock's The Three Investigators. Stories are already written--just have to be updated a little. And I bet it would outdraw half of the stuff ABC is airing right now.
Come to think of it, it's kind of crappy that the adults negotiated separately from the kids. Won't anybody think about the children?
ReplyDeleteThey should just walk to CBS and headline a show on which all the adults will be voiced by trombones and never seen.
ReplyDeleteTo be on CBS, they'd have to solve a crime every week.
ReplyDeleteLuke's the most interesting character on Modern Family.

I would pay cash money to see the three of them as junior crime-solvers, an Encyclopedia Brown for the digital generation.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's finally time to remake Whiz Kids!

ReplyDeleteAll I could think reading this was, "I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING YOU DAD"
ReplyDelete@Matt: Or talk about ladyparts.

ReplyDeleteDamn, Watchman was way ahead of me. I'd give a Three Investigators starring Rico Rodriguez as Jupiter a shot.
