THIS MIGHT BE THE DAY YOU FINALLY INVEST IN THE DUAL-TUNER TIVO: A two hour Hollywood Week episode of Idol, new Lost, Winter Olympic coverage including the men's figure skating short program and Lindsey Jacobellis' long-awaited return to women's snowboard demolition derby, and Best in Show night at the Westminster Kennel Club. How are you organizing your tv time tonight?

Since I gig Tuesday nights, I've had a dual-tuner for some time now -- and yup!  Lost and American Idol, all the way!  I just wish Group Night had been two hours.  The Chair can get crazy dull.

  2. Lost, and maybe the CBS dramas.  I'm not big on the Olympics or Idol.  I'm a bit confused by why CBS, with NCIS pretty much invulnerable to anything, is running a rerun of everything tonight.  (In particular, "Good Wife" has been in reruns for way too much of the season.)  And I'm amused that the dog show lost its power to bump wrestling this year, but can still bump USA's original drama programming.

  3. Lost and knocking off the Benedict Arnold bio. Thanks to reruns and NBC running figure skating nonstop, I figure I'll get in a lot of reading.

  4. Lost and American Idol DVR'g during prime time, DVR'g Olympics during the late night rerun.  Regretting missing the dog show.

Jenn - I'm pretty sure USA is rerunning the dog show this am and tomorrow am.  (At least that's what I have my dvr set up to record).

  6. Lost and Idol for me. I will wait for Gretchen's recap of tonight's skate and watch the routines online.

  7. Lost and Olympics for us.  Assuming I'm awake for either -- fighting some sort of bug...

Lost and 5-Man Nexus, maybe plus a few random dungeons.

Whatever I'm recording, I'll be watching my recorded curling (12-6 EST on USA) while doing it.  HD eats up my DVR's memory, and so I gotta get it watched and deleted so I can record curling tomorrow.  I don't understand curling at all, I have just decided that this year, I am going to follow it devotedly.

Lost and maybe some figure skating. A funny Michael Emerson clip on The Soup, for your entertainment (he shows up about 45 seconds in).

Sconstant, I'm a curling fan, so we can discuss. I think we need a Chicago-area Thing Throwers trip to the Northbrook Curling Club soon!

Watching Lost and Olympics. Thanks to the way NBC shows Olympics, I can watch 4 hours of coverage in about an hour.

"Lost" and the games on the TiVo tonight. Skipping "Idol" and relying on a good recap here and elsewhere tomorrow. If it weren't men's skating tonight, I'd just pick up the overnight rebroadcast.

I'll flip between reruns of The Office and the figure skating.

I'd invite people to the St. Paul Curling Club, but I suspect it'll be standing-room-only in there for the next ten days.  I can only imagine what Benton's homecoming will be like.

Amen to that.  Patience may be a virtue, but I'm pretty sure that skipping NBC's endless self-indulgence is no sin.
