TRIPLE LINDY: From the same mindset which gave us reality tv competitions featuring celebrities learning ballroom dancing, figure skating, survivor-y stuff, business apprenticeship, and military skills comes word that ABC has optioned a Dutch show which can be reduced to two words: Celebrity Diving.

Is there any doubt Greg Louganis would be involved?
ReplyDeleteI fear this will end badly - like the time I tried to teach my sister how to do a back dive and she ended up scraping her entire back along the diving board, ripping her skin and bathing suit to shreds. I fear that diving will come less naturally to celebrities than dancing or ice skating - unless the "celebrities" are mostly retired gymnasts.

ReplyDeleteWhen the promos were running for "Dancing With The Stars," I thought somebody at ABC was trying to get fired. Since then, I have never been able to trust my barometer as to what will work.
