PAGING BIRDIE, THE EARLY BIRD: Matt Yglesias throws down:
Every sensible person realizes that the only way to improve on the Egg McMuffin is to switch it up and order the Sausage McMuffin With Egg. Is it conceivable that in some remote corner of the universe McDonald's is going to invent a better breakfast product? Yes, maybe. Or maybe not. Asking whether McDonald's can make a better breakfast sandwich than the Sausage McMuffin With Egg is a bit like asking whether God could make an object so massive that he couldn't move it.
(Yes, I miss
the old days.)
Sausage biscuit, cheese, no egg.
ReplyDeleteApparently all I post about these days is fast food.
Tastes are subjective.
ReplyDeleteThat said, you are wrong.
Paul's right. It's a plain sausage biscuit, no egg, no cheese.
ReplyDeleteSure, it might not be good for you, but then neither is driving around all hung over.
You are both wrong. It is clearly a matter of getting three sausage mcmuffins with egg, then tossing one of the english muffins and redistributing the ingredients so you have one double-sausage-single-egg and one single-sausage-double-egg.
ReplyDeleteBE BOLDER.
I really love the Sausage McMuffin with Egg. However, at 12 weight watchers points plus each (almost 1/2 a day's worth), I very very rarely let myself eat one. I tried the Egg White Delight McMuffin last weekend while I was traveling and it was... okay. The egg was fine, but Canadian bacon is no substitute for sausage and cheese.
ReplyDeleteCanadian bacon, egg whites, and an English muffin is no way to go through life, son.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of double egg kind of oogs me out. It's a hockey puck of egg! Why would I want two?!
ReplyDeleteThat said, I appreciate your commitment to excellence, sir.
