HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US:  Somewhat incomprehensibly and stubbornly, this blog turns twelve years old today. So thank you, Grantland's Katie Baker (and long-time lurker, who knew?), for this:

I'll say as a fellow long time lurker, thanks to you all for keeping this site going for so long. Always a great place to find things I don't see elsewhere online, and good discussions that never devolve into a typical comments section. Happy birthday!

Happy blog...day? In the decade (wait, WHAT!?) I've been on here, there have been plenty of sites that have come and gone, but this one has always been part of my day. And with the exception of the time the sidebar flipped, it's been pretty much the same thing everyday. And that's kind of comforting.

And a slight color scheme shift.

What we looked like in 2004, pre-comments.

    2006, post-merger.

The 2006 link, particularly, sums up what I love about this blog. Coverage of reality TV, individual episodes of great shows, the Oscars, musical theater, and, of course, curling. Happy blogiversary, y'all.

  11. My favorite part of the "I Am Not A Crook" speech is that it was delivered from the ballroom of the Contemporary Resort at Disney World.

Also of note--birthdays for Gordon Lightfoot, Stephen Root, Ralph Garman, and Rachel McAdams.

I just realized what this means: this site needs a Bar Mitzvah date for next year.

Happy Birthday! Not a day goes by where I don't swing by and see what's linking (irrelevant, nonsensical or otherwise)

Happy birthday!!! I've been reading since I was 16 - you all definitely helped shape my pop culture interests/obsessions. (Also, 12?? You guys, when this blog started I was 10.)
