Is the proper reaction "Awwwwww Yeah" or "Nooooo"?  Try both:

I loved both bands in their day, believe the first Black Sabbath to be one of the seminal modern rock and roll albums, carried the standard for Sabbath's RRHOF induction, hold Diver Down dear as a formative relic of my adolescence, and continue have several songs from both bands in moderately heavy rotation on my iPod.  But, as I said to Adam last week, Ozzy should have hung it up years ago.  Probably after the second Blizzard of Oz album.  And Van Halen without the Jack Daniels bass and the buttless leather chaps (or Van Halen today with the buttless leather chaps -- shudder) is not Van Halen.

  3. Isaac, by "the second Blizzard of Oz" album, are you referring to Diary of a Madman?

  4. Poor Michael Anthony.  Nepotism at its worst.

By the end of 2012, I'll be very happy to say that I forwent both albums and tours.

Yeah, at that time he was referring to his band as Blizzard of Oz.
